ESAC Accreditation
Employer Services Assurance Corporation accreditation — a financial assurance and ethical standards certification for PEOs.
ESAC (Employer Services Assurance Corporation) accreditation is the gold standard for PEO legitimacy and financial integrity. ESAC is an independent, nonprofit accreditation organization that certifies PEOs meeting rigorous standards for financial stability, ethical conduct, and regulatory compliance.
ESAC-accredited PEOs must maintain surety bonds, undergo regular financial audits, and demonstrate compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations. ESAC also maintains an assurance fund that provides protection to clients if an accredited PEO fails to meet its financial obligations — such as failing to remit payroll taxes.
Only a small percentage of PEOs in the United States hold ESAC accreditation. When evaluating a PEO, ESAC accreditation is one of the most important credentials to verify.
